1/18/2024 0 Comments Pearl amethyst and garnetSome of the issues raised in the show may have been overlooked. We have some irrational fears about Garnet, but those are not for the reasons we have. Is it true that Pearl and Amethyst acted strangely during the Secret Team? The behavior appears to be out of place for them. They are also said to bring good luck and fortune. When worn together, these two gemstones can represent balance and harmony. Pearl is the June birthstone and is associated with the moon. It is a stone of protection and purification. People often ask if these two gemstones can be worn together, and the answer is yes! Amethyst is the February birthstone and is associated with the crown chakra. They are both beautiful and have a lot of history and meaning behind them. We got a lot of Garnet and Amethyst is season 1 so hopefully we get more Pearl this season.Amethyst and pearl are two very popular gemstones. I like to think that the Crewniverse included this secret little storyline and that “Reformed” is its conclusion. As their relationship improved, Garnet and Amethyst grew to a level on which they could be much more open with each other. Because of that, she tended to walk away instead of engaging with Garnet. Amethyst’s feelings of inferiority tend to make her want to prove herself to people. In general, I’d say Amethyst initially wants to impress Garnet. This is the first episode in which Garnet and Amethyst have a prolonged, serious, emotion-filled exchange. ![]() Of course, Garnet doesn’t approve of her horsing around during a serious mission but it shows that Amethyst and Garnet have finally developed a solid relationship. Instead of trying to rebuff it like Pearl does, Garnet recognizes the value in what Amethyst says.įinally, in “Reformed” (I know, not season 1), Amethyst is comfortable enough with Garnet to be cheeky with her like she is with Pearl. Let’s not forget “The Test” in which Garnet is willing to accept Amethyst’s counsel. Simply their willingness to play Steven tag also shows their improved amenity. In “An Indirect Kiss”, Amethyst slaps away Pearl when she tries to assess the gem damage but submits (reluctantly) to Garnet. There are also a lot of smaller hints as to Garnet and Amethyst’s ameliorating relationship: Also, her refusal to indicative of their recognition that they actually do mesh well together. Sugilite’s huge form could be a reflection of Amethyst’s desire to impress Garnet. Amethyst is actually a very capable and intelligent gem but is extremely underutilized. Pearl has a bad habit of underestimating Amethyst. Also, it shows how Garnet is valuing Amethyst more as a Crystal Gem. Garnet is finally giving Amethyst a chance to prove herself. I like to think that in this time together Garnet and Amethyst’s relationship matured beyond just fighting on the same team.Īmethyst’s excitement over fusing with Garnet in “Coach Steven” is also indicative of their developing relationship. With Pearl out of the way, Amethyst and Garnet are forced to interact a lot more directly. “Steven the Sword Fighter” appears to be an instrumental episode in the development of their relationship. Garnet is the one who realizes that wrestling is special to Amethyst while Pearl is the one who follows Garnet. While Pearl deals with it by submitting to whatever Garnet says, Amethyst generally avoids reaching out to her. Also, Amethyst and Pearl genuinely seem afraid of Garnet (think “Secret Team”). Before this, Amethyst obeyed Garnet without questioning her. How does Pearl react?Īmethyst has gone to far. When Garnet finally does intervene, she gives a direct command and Amethyst responds with aggression. When Garnet and Pearl enter the ring, Pearl does most of the talking. You need to act like it.”) Amethyst is willing to argue with Pearl but becomes much more passive when Garnet gets involved. What we see is Amethyst’s rebelliousness being pitted against Garnet and Pearl’s professionalism. Our first episode that really investigates the relationships between the gems is “Tiger Millionaire”. ![]() Just look at how many episodes there are in which all three gems are present but Garnet and Amethyst don’t even say a word to each other. While it’s obvious that they both do have an active relationship with Pearl (they interact way more with her than with each other) that seems get in the way of their own relationship. I have a theory that until Rose’s “death” Garnet and Amethyst didn’t really interact that much. I was going back over some season 1 episodes and I noticed a more covert storyline going on between Garnet and Amethyst.
